startup/stop informix

I installed Online 7.22 on HP 10.20. I placed a startup/stop informix script in /sbin/init.d and then rebooted it. It was in unbootable status. We booted it a few times but it was hung up. I removed a script from /sbin/init.d, and /etc/rc.config.d and also deleted a file from /sbin/rc.1d and /sbin/rc.2d What I did is 1. Login as root 2. cd /sbin/init.d 3. cp template informix 4. edit informix script 5. cd /etc/rc.config.d 6. create "informix" file 7. cd /sbin/rc1.d 8. ln -s /sbin/init.d/informix K100informix 9. cd /sbin/rc2.d 10. ln -s /sbin/init.d/informix S900informix Am I missing something else. The #6 - I copied informix script from /sbin/init.d? or should I leave informix as empty script? What does "create "informix" file" mean as HP vendor informed me? I would like a copy of your startup/stop informix script emailed to me directly if you run Online 7.22 on HP 10.20 Thanks Thuc
