Re: logical logs full

Hello,
Basically you shouldn't have anything to worry about. This is a change in logical
log behavior from 5.x to 7.x for various reasons (mostly to do with HDR and now ER).
But in 7.x logical logs are almost never marked as just "F" (free) like they were
in 5.x. So as long as the logs are backup (marked with the "B" flag in onstat -l)
and
an onstat -x doesn't have a transaction that has a beginning logical log unique id
that
is equal to the lowest logid you currently have, then when the current logical log
fills (the one with the "C" flag), online will automatically free the oldest log and
switch into it. So that sorta answers 1,2, and 3. With your LTAPEDEV set to
/dev/null the logs will automatically be marked as Backed up as soon as they
are full, so that is the answer to 4.
