Help, This is an esqlc program copied from another program which works. Fail right away on the connect. The finderr for this # makes no sense. Thanks

The only bit that matters is the basic error text -- File open error. It means that INFORMIXDIR is set but is either set to something that isn't an INFORMIXDIR or is set to an INFORMIXDIR containing the wrong version of the message files. Typcially, it means that a pre-GLS (pre-7.20) piece of software is poking in a post-GLS INFORMIXDIR, or vice versa. The biggest nuisance is that it does not tell you which file, nor what the system error was.
