FW: Mystery Session

Kirk, We first experienced this with 7.31 TC2 and the problem is still observed in 7.31 TC5. My discussions with informix technical support suggest a buffer overrun on the logon name of the session. So instead of displaying user 'informix' it displays garbage. AFAIK it is a display only problem. The session seems to be a informix created one (ie not an application session) and is usually related to backups. It can also be seen in onstat -u as shown below.
