Hi folks, we are running SUSE-Linux 6.2. with kernel 2.2.x and glibc 2.1. When trying to install Client SDK 2.30uc1-1 we ran into the following problem when running rpm. failed dependencies libifgls.so needed ... libifglx.so needed ... So the whole installation process failed. Anyone know what to do? Thanks Wolfgang
Sounds like the problem I had with RedHat 6.0. You'll need to add --nodeps to the RPM command line. Sonething about an assumed dependency issue . . . Hi, before I got those "...so needed...." message, I got some others, but the same kind. The install program cannot open any of the files under /var/lib/rpm, which all have permission 644, until I changed them to 666. I did it as root. Did you have this problem? What is the impact on changing permissions of those files? Jun Carlson@WHSmith wrote: > Sounds like the problem I had with RedHat 6.0. > > You'll need to add --nodeps to the RPM command line.
