Re: Crystal Reports 3/VB4 hangs with Informix-CLI ODBC driver

What I would do: 1. Throw out the Informix CLI ODBC driver and install OpenLink. Use it for both Informix and Oracle. 2. Upgrade to Crystal reports 5.0 (I had the same stupid problems with version 3.0 and never got them resolved.) The above configuration works very well for us. If you don't do the above I have no clue how you can get things to work. Even if someone could help you, I would expect all kinds of future problems. I stopped long ago trying to make old versions of software working. I have other things to spend my time on. If you (or your users) can't "afford" upgrading you sure can't afford to do the project at all. It will be much more costly than an upgrade. This world is this way. As these products have been evolving products I think we have to accept that for now. When you do get it to work, it should work well for several years though. And make sure you use nothing but Windows 95 or NT (if you don't allready). Windows 3.x in this configuration is begging for problems.
