HPL load problem

I was having a problem using the GUI tool ipload to create
the jobs on a
machine with no gui display. I then created the database through the
Informix isql tool. Next I ran a schema that I had created from another
production machine of onpload. I then unloaded the tables from the
production machine and loaded the development machine tables from these
files. It seemed to wok OK but I get an error when I run the following load
script:
INFORMIXDIR=/usr6061/informix7;export INFORMIXDIR;
INFORMIXSERVER=clipper_tcp;export INFORMIXSERVER;
/usr6061/informix7/bin/onpload -p mis_db -j customer -flv
I get the following error:
Cannot open database 'sysmaster@mis_svr' - SQL error -25555, ISAM error 0
I am running 7.30.UC5 on AIX4.3.3 . Does this error look familiar?

Hi
This is not a problem with GUI.
IDS tries to connect to dbserver "mis_svr".
Error -25555 means:
Server server-name is not listed as a dbserver name in sqlhosts. The
database server name that is mentioned in the current command is not listed
in the sqlhosts file. Check the server name for accuracy. Check that all
database servers to be accessed are included in the sqlhosts file.

Given some experience that I've had with HPL, I'm guessing that the problem
is the imported data. I can't remember exactly which table in the onpload
database contains the hostname column, but that data is populated when the
job is created, and then used in the HPL connection. You'll have to go
through that table manually, and update the hostname column, setting it
equal to the hostname of the server that you're trying to run the job on.
We had this problem as a result of a failover cluster; you'll want to make
sure that you use the "real" hostname for the machine that you're on, and
not the name of the "floating" IP address if you're on a cluster.
Let me know if you have further problems, but I think this is the source of
your problem.

Reset the
"hostname" column in the "session" table and
you should be okay.
