ODBC connections with SDK

I have a Windows 95 machine with the 2.30 SDK installed. When I attempt to test a connection defined using the Ifmx 3.30 32 bit ODBC driver, I get the message 'Test connection was NOT successful. [Informix][Informix ODBC Driver]Unable to load translation DLL.' I know that others have experienced this and the suggested solutions were to uninstall and reinstall (I have done this) and to ensure that $INFORMIXDIR/bin is defined in the PATH. This is a Windows 95 machine though, so where do I define the PATH? Any other suggestions (relating to technical solutions, Obnoxio) would be much appreciated.
