AW: extents of tables
Posted in 1998
Hello!
This is a very old script of mine (it works)
#!/bin/ksh
tbcheck -pe > tbchk.pe
grep "WARNING:TBLSpace" tbchk.pe > /tmp/tmp.$$
cat /tmp/tmp.$$ | while read w t table
do
IFS=3D" "
echo $table | read tab muell
count=3D`grep "$tab" tbchk.pe | wc -l`
echo "Tab: $tab\\t\\t have $count Extentions" >> $LOG
IFS=3D":"
done
# Ends
Change tbcheck with oncheck, if you use > 6.xx Online.

Betreff: extents of tables
From an Informix newbie:
Can someone tell me how to get a report of the number of extents per
table
(not just system tables but data as well)? I know about onstat -t but
this
output seems kinda cryptic...
I am running 7.24.UC5-1
TIA
