Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Enrico asked how to find the tables in a chunk using SMI tables. Phillip suggested oncheck -pe. Norman Erickson Lugtu gave a sysmaster query joining sysextents with syschunks on hex values. Enrico confirmed it worked after changing the join condition to use hexnum[1,5] instead of [3,5]. Solved.

Hello,
I need to find the tables for a chunk. Is it possible with SMI tables?

you can run an oncheck -pe to find the tables in a chunk. I'm sure you
could do it via SQL hitting the SMI tables but I think this is easier.

Most of the time it was probably real bad being stuck down in a dungeon.
But some days, when there was a bad storm outside, you'd look out your
little window and think, "Boy, I'm glad I'm not out in that."
Its possible,try this,
database sysmaster
;
select hex(start) hexnum,dbsname,tabname
from sysextents
into temp tempext
;
select unique fname, dbsname,tabname
from tempext a, syschunks b
where hex(a.hexnum[3,5]) = hex(b.chknum);
Give me feedback.

Thank you, it is all right;
I have apported only a little modication to a condition of a second
query:
From: where hex(a.hexnum[3,5]) = hex(b.chknum)
To: where hex(a.hexnum[1,5]) = hex(b.chknum)
This modication is necessary for a corret link between two hexadecimal
numers (the link was from a text with a hexadecimal).
