Since last week I have noticed that duration was between 2 to 5 seconds and now it is 8 to 12 seconds, can someone please tell me what it is and what is the impect on the performance of informix, and is there anything we can do to lower the duration. The server it is only 45% busy, but the transactions taking more time to complete. Thanks & regards

It can impact performance and the way to address it is GENERALLY to
increase the number of LRUS and CLEANERS and reduce CHKPTINVL. It might
also be worth increasing NUMAIOVPS.
However, output from onstat -D might show that one dbspace is being
clobbered, in which case having more CLEANERS and more AIO VPS might
actually make things worse. If this is the case, then you might want to
DECREASE CLEANERS and NUMAIOVPS slightly and definitely redistribute your
hot tables across multiple dbspaces. If you have one hot table, then use
ALTER FRAGMENT to partition the table across multiple dbspaces.
