dbaccess command with/without hyphens
Posted in 2000
Just for kicks, I tested the following on a 7.30.UC2 box:
select * from xyz;
select count(*) from customer;
The two commands run with identical output:
Database selected.
206: The specified table (xyz) is not in the database.
111: ISAM error: no record found.
Error in line 1Near character position 17
(count(*))
17128
1 row(s) retrieved.
Database closed.

Subject: Re: Beginner: How can I load/import *.sql-Files?!?
Mark, I always thought there was a difference between the two. That
dbaccess databasename script
stops on the first error as the scripts do from within the menus while
dbaccess databasename - <script.sql
continues past errors.
