The initial extent size of the table looks to be: first extent 23 next extent 8 When the table was loaded, it initially allocated 23 pages (as determined by 'first extent'). As the table contniued loading data, it then needed 8 more pages, bringing the total to 31. Toward the end of the load, it allocated another 8 pages (as determined by 'next extent'), but only used 4 pages. Thus, Informix loaded you data contiguously into one extent, but the table itself takes up 34 pages within 39 (23 + 8 + 8) extents. Hope that answers the question.
