Could anyone tell me how I can insert a blob n the page header of a report. I'd like to obtain any related information about blobs and how they operate. The steps I have done are: Draw anyting with an Imge editor in windows and then I print it to a file. Once I have obtained it, I try to print it from a 4gl report but the output on the printer are wrong characters. I hope answers Bye , Jose

The PAGE HEADER and PAGE TRAILER (and FIRST PAGE HEADER) have to be of a fixed length. Blobs are of variable length, and cannot therefore be printed in the PH or PT blocks of a report. Similarly, you can you PRINT FILE in those blocks, for the same reason -- the report mechanism doesn't know ahead of time how much space to reserve for them. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
