F is compiled with 64-bit HP-UX 11 libraries H is compiled with 32-bit HP-UX 11 libraries U is compiled with 32-bit HP-UX 10.20 libraries All three will run on HP-UX 11, assuming you're running 64-bit. Otherwise, either H or U will suffice, depending on what other applications you're using. > We're currently on 7.22.UC1 on HP-UX 10.20. We plan to upgrade to HP-UX > 11.0. Do I also need to upgrade my version of Informix? If you're happy with your installation and you don't need >2GB of shared memory, then you're probably fine with 32-bit, particularly if you work with tools like SAS or SyncSort. I'd still recommend moving to a more recent version, but be prepared for some significant optimizer differences in the 7.3x releases. I've seen a lot of people who've had to rerun UPDATE STATISTICS and drop distributions to prevent performance problems. HTH, Chuck
Thanks much! That helped immensely! We'll be sticking with our current version of 7.22UC1 for now, but only because our web server software (Netscape Enterprise 3.6) requires 7.22. Thanks again!
