Help with INFORMIX NET-PC
Hi,
I am looking for some URGENT HELP...
I am trying to get this PC NET going. All my experince is
UNIX and star , so please excuse any terminology glitches.
What I am trying to do is have this stupid PC talk to an ONLINE
database on my UNIX box.
I have done the following.
created 2 files in \\pctcp\\etc directory
1) services
In the services file I have the entry
sqlexec 1952/tcp
2) hosts
In the hosts file I have
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Local host
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx My Node Name
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^valid inet numbers here
I have INFORMIXDIR, FTP_ETC, set
After I boot up (I run ethdrv) in the autoexec.bat,
I run remsql.
I get no errors.
I then try running isql
I get the following error.
854: Back end not found. Or back end is busy.
There is some stuff about the error in the docisql.410 but all
it says is , another application has terminated abnormally
Can any one help me out there??????
