RE: Sull'errore -4518 (more on TSS hog functions)

Dear Marco Let me know something more. I have seen that 4gl compiler *do not* check the parameter missing only if the function called has been referenced outside the suorce. I mean that if you have an application with 1 to n external functions, the compiler must assume that the parameters of this function are ok. This because is only in linking phase that the object became aggregate in application. Any way I'm using the same compiler you have (running under SE 5.0x (Sorry I don't remeber)) on Solaris 2.4 (Sun) , and the same RDS (unfortunelly without C-function). The strange thing is that running the application you don't receive an application error ( error -1318 "A parameter count mismatch has occurred between the calling function and the called function). Any way I have the same problem you have with the 4518 error and Informix Italy assured me that it has been fixed with the new releases of 4.xx (I think now is 4.13.xx). Obviously I have check for all the "Informix gurus" opti! on to eliminate this error but nothing happened. Someone told me that it was a bug of 4.10.xx that does not discharge the TSS. I have also noticed that the error is more frequent when the .4gi became bigger ( I have an inventory application of about 1 Mb and when I go up to 1,2-1,3 Mb the error come up more frequently). Hope this help. Cheers Pierluigi "Pigi" Frullani pigi@frumar.it Frumar S.r.l. Milano P.S. Sorry for my not good english.
