Ok ..I am hoping u hv got a support contract with IBM ..:-)
Do the following:
export SQDEBUG=3D1
export SQEXPLAIN=3D1
Run your dbschema command again. This will create two files:
1) /tmp/dbschem.time
2) <currentdir>/sqexplain.out
U will be able to identify which command returned the ISAM Error -100 f=
rom
sqexplain.out and the last function called from /tmp/dbschem.time. If i=
ts
simple, you can probably fix it otherwise, pls send this info to the
support guy and he'll be able to fix it for you.

Hi all,
I'm able to re-procude this problem in my test
environment. To eliminate all the unrelevant, I create
the test environment with only 1 table in the entire
database.
1) Install the 7.31.UD7
2) Initialize the database engine (oninit -iy)
3) Create the neccessary dbspaces as below
Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UD7 --
On-Line -- Up 00:00:45 -- 381024 Kbytes
Dbspaces
address number flags fchunk nchunks flags
owner name
5e356150 1 1 1 1 N
informix rootdbs
5ee7afc0 2 1 2 2 N
informix testdb
2 active, 2047 maximum
Chunks
address chk/dbs offset size free bpages
flags pathname
5e356210 1 1 0 50000 44901
PO- /dev/rdb16
5ee7b2e0 2 2 0 1000000 999947
PO- /dev/rdb5
5ee87180 3 2 0 1000000 999997
PO- /dev/rdb6
3 active, 2047 maximum
4) Run level 0 archive (ontape -s -L 0)
5) Create a database in testdb dbspace
create database utopia in testdb with buffered log;
6) Create a table in utopia database with primary key
constraint.
create table test_table1
(col1 char(10),
col2 int,
primary key (col1) constraint pk_col1)
7) Run dbschema command as below
dbschema -d utopia -t test_table1 -ss
DBSCHEMA Schema Utility INFORMIX-SQL Version
7.31.UD7
Copyright (C) Informix Software, Inc., 1984-1998
Software Serial Number AAC#J238387
100 - ISAM error: duplicate value for a record with
unique key
If you look at the above steps, you may noticed that I
did not insert any record into the test_table1. But,
I'm still getting the error. This make me even
confused.
Besides, I created another table without using the
primary key constraint, and the dbschema command is
working perfectly. Is it because of the primary key
constraint? Appreciate that someone could help to
explain this.
Thanks in advance.
