Problems with carriage returns / line feeds in strings - HELP!

Hi all, I'm having problems with the new ODBC driver (version 3.31 from the 2.40 SDK). In the 2.5, 2.8 and 3.30 driver, I could do the following update notes set notestext = 'Some text with a carriage return' where key = 5 and it would work perfectly. Now I get a -202 illegal character error! The actual code hasn't been touched, so I'm figuring the driver is going haywire, or has a bug. Any ideas? Thanks Fuzzy ;-)
