Hi, A informix-ODBC-connection wrote the errormessage: HY106:[INTERSOLV][ODBC Informix driver]In SQLExtendedFetch, only SQL_FETCH_NEXT is supported for SQL_SCROLL_FORWARD_ONLY cursors. and now I found that the cursor limitations are only set by the database, not by the driver. My question is: What is the infomix-command for setting the right cursor-type? thanks michael

This is an ODBC thing. Informix supports bidirectional scrolling cursors. In ESQL/C you would declare it as: EXEC SQL DECLARE fred SCROLL CURSOR FOR <sql>; Don't know how to do that in ODBC. Art S.
