Hi,
I would like to thank all of you who help me to set up informix ids 7.30UC7
running on my linux system. (PII-350Mhz+128MB RAM).
I was very disappointed with the performance compared with a NT 4.0+ IDS
7.30TC5 on the same machine. Both running on the same hardware/cooked files
conf/database data, NT outperforms linux by far. I am using the default
onconfig, just changed number of buffers. I hope that major changes should
be made to my configuration, so any ideas are welcome. Please help quit
using Micro$oft NT.
Thanks id advance.
Regards. Diego Mezzera.

Hi!
Get the BUFFERS way up. You can dedicate 30-40 MB to Informix.
Others will follow with more detailed info, no doubt.

Michael
