We have had our share of similar messages and been down the road with
Informix support to find out why. We are still running 7.10.UC1 at one
location, but it's just barly.
There are too many known defects in ver. 7.10.UC1 to make it usefull
make an extensive search for these errors.
Of course you may have a real hardware defect (bad disk) in which
case you obviously fix that. Appart from that it's overdue by now to
upgrade to a much later version. May be that requires a newer version
of AIX as well (I don't know about that), but even then there is no
real way arround.
If you have a support contract an upgrade shouldn't be expensive.

:The Sys Admin Guide is rather vague, indicating only some sort of
:consistency problem. The application being run is creating around 8
:temporary tables and then running several stored procedures to fill up
:the temporary tables with data, then dumping the data to a permanent
:table, and finally dropping the temps.

:warning? We don't have a clue as to what's going on. The application
:seems to complete with all the expected data put into the permanent
:table. DBSPACETEMP has been set to 2 DBSPACES, one allocated for temp
:tables and the other a contingency overflow. Run-time monitoring with
:onstat -d -r 2 seems to indicate the temporary dbspace is not even
:approaching fullness.
