Redbrick Memory Management & Statistics

Hi, How can I control the amount of shared memory redbrick uses? I can't find any parameter in the configuration file. Another question: Is statistics automatically maintained in RedBrick? Is there some SQL command like "update statistics"? Thanks in advance Leonardo
Leonardo, The shared memory used by Red Brick is controlled by the Kernel settings. There are many other parameters to control the memory of various processes. QUERY_MEMORY_LIMIT: controls the RAM used by each database connection. INDEX_TEMPSPACE_THRESHOLD: controls the RAM used by each index build processes -- optimized load or create index processes. MMAP... (I forget the exact parameter name, but you can find it in the TMU Guide.): controls the amount of memory used to map dimension table primary keys for RI checking during a load. I'm sure there are a few others that I'm forgetting. Soren "Leonardo F.
