I hate to be picky..., but it's in my nature. ;-)
That hyphen is to indicate you don't have an sql file. Then you go and
pump an sql file in with redirection. Why not just say:
dbaccess database_name sql_file.sql
You don't even need the .sql as long as your file has that suffix.

Mark, I always thought there was a difference between the two. That
dbaccess databasename script
stops on the first error as the scripts do from within the menus while
dbaccess databasename - <script.sql
continues past errors.
