Recompiled r4gl program gives error messages under linux

Hello! I am trying to move a Four-Gen accounting package that we have used in our store for about 10 years to a Linux Slackware 7.0 machine that has SE 7.2, r4G, and debugger. I also have the Informix docs in pdf. The program compiles on the new system but runs into trouble on execution. I am getting error messages without numbers and the program execution stops. The customer maintanance module can add a customer but when I try to delete, an error message appears: Too many or too few hosts available. On trying to Update, an error message appears: Someone else is trying to update this document try again later. No one else is. When updating an order, the error message appears: Waiting for table stocntrc to become available I would be grateful for any direction. Moving this package to our new machine is important to us. It seems for some reason or another the records get locked and not
released. Try reinstalling the database, reloading your data and
recompiling your programs. If you keep having a problem try compiling in
debug mode and see where exactly the problem is occurring.
Also you can try to see if another program (say dbaccess) can delete the
same record or not. This would indicate to you whether the problem is from
the database or the accounting package.
