Also try initializing through tbmonitor rather than from the command line, as you often get additional error messages from tbmonitor (such as the ones that get written to online.log). : It really does sound like : a kernel parameter (specifically shared memory related) that is : probably causing the problem. Or semaphores. Check out SEMMNI or other semaphore parameters. You need a semaphore per user (including the daemons etc), and they are allocated in sets of 25.
