Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

We are just launching a project to accomplish this very thing. You will
need to connect your Access program to the Informix database via ODBC.
There are several Informix-specific ODBC drivers available: try Intersolve
or OpenLink. If you are running Informix on a different OS (i.e. UNIX)
then you also hace to setup Informix's I-Connect. As for programming
issues, there is a good book on MS Access and SQL Server (from Sybex) which
has a lot of good tips you could transfer over to an Informix scenario.
Also, check out "Access 97 Developers Handbook" (from Sybex) especially
chapter 15. Access 97 has much improved support for ODBC. Another helpful
book on Access ODBC programming is the "JET Database Engine Programmer's
Guide (2nd Edition)" from Microsoft Press.
