Hi,
Can i use dbexport to backup my database on tape ?
In "INFORMIX SE 7.2 Administrator guide" (under "Performance Tuning)
i've read this (!):
"Do not use the dbexport utility for database backups.Rely on proper
UNIX backups".
I'm thinking to:
1)Use dbexport with -o option to create a backup on hard disk
2)Store my backup on tape using Unix (solaris7) tar
Can you help me?

Before you buy.
Hi,
you can use your standard unix backup program. you only have to backup
the .dat and .idx files.
You don't have to use dbexport for backup.
