VPCLASS 'cpu' not enough physical procs for affinity

I upgraded our server to 4 processors, from 2. I set multiprocessor option to 1, numcpuvps to 3, nprocs to 3 and sproc to 1. At bootup I see the operating system recognizes 4 processors. In the log, upon startup of Informix I see: "VPCLASS 'cpu' not enough physical procs for affinity" Any ideas? Thanks. Cathy Geier Unix/DB/web admin Northwestern College.
Is this a Sun box? Your first CPU is not necessarily #1 it may be zero, one, or even 2! There is a sun tool to find out which slot the first CPU is inserted into. Art S. Try sproc = 0 , sometimes the CPUS are numbered starting with 0. CKGeier@nwc.edu wrote in message <8o4afe$m2t$1@news.xmission.com>... > >I upgraded our server to 4 processors, from 2.
