RE: Help backing up logs to disk.
Posted in 2000
Ok, Thanks for this tip, We ordered that book.
But my problem is that it should work for any user who
are in the Informix admin group. This is in the document of
'Backup and Restore Guide' (4346.pdf):
Issue ON-Bar commands
To execute the ON-Bar commands that are described in this chapter,
you must be user informix or root on UNIX or a member of the
Informix-Admin group on Windows NT.
In fact it doesn't work for me.
Any other idea?

My NT knowledge is limited; however, Carlton Doe wrote an Informix book
based upon NT that might address it. You might want to go to your local
technical book store and see if they have a copy of his book and review it
in store to see if it has a chapter on archiving (with ON-Bar).
Take care.
