onunload / onload question

I want to copy a database from one machine to another.
If I use the onunload/onload utilities to copy the whole database, will
they keep the structure of dbspaces which I have in the original
database ?
Or do I have to specify the tables and their dbspaces individually ?
The Informix manuals don't seem very helpful about this.
Thanks,

Which version of IDS are you on, Frank?

We're using Informix Online 7.22

Before you buy.
well, yes and no. Onload/onunload is essentially a binary copy that does
keep the server specific structure. However, what the books don't point
out too clearly is that let's say your database in the originating machine
(server 1) was on a dbspace called server1_db1. However, you also had
tables and indexes of that database that were on server1_db2. When you do
a onload onto server 2, you have to have a dbspace called server1_db2 or
else your onload will fail. On the target machine, you can specify which
dbspace you want to put it in which doesn't necessarily have to have the
same name as it was on the originating server, but if you had fragmented
tables or indexes or whatever, then those dbspaces have to be present in
the target server or else the onload will fail. Let me know if this clears
things up.
Oh, another thing, make sure the version of Informix is the same on both
machines or else it won't happen. And the OS has to be the same too so no
going from Solaris to NT.
