Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Try running the "dbping" executable, which comes with Client SDK.
It may help you to determine what works and what does not.

Subject: -957 error from ODBC and ILogin
I have recently downloaded the Client SDK and installed it on a windows
98
machine. I have used setnet32 to specify the information that I think
is
needed. When I run ILogin or try to use ODBC to test everything, I get
an
informix error -957. "Cannot create/access database on NFS mount." I
have
verified the database name, service name and server and host names. I
have
tried telnetting into the host and service and this seems to connect to
the
port.
Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting this.
Thank you.
