Re: What Front End do you use with Informix? Progress?

With the emphasis Progress Software is putting on their Aptivity Java development tool I would be reluctant to start using their old Progress development tool for any new projects now. It seems to me that Progress Software have seen the light - Java is making specialized languages for general bussiness type application development less than interesting. As to the quality of the Progress development tools I don't know all that much. We where never particularly interested because of the exorbitant runtime prices they charged (som years ago - may have changed now). At the time they also had some problems in using regular SQL. Instead they had their own database access statements buildt into the language. Something we never found acceptable. Now of course it has become to a large extent an MS Windows development tool so a lot have changed. Technically it may now be top notch, but now it's all too late for us - luckily.
