There was a huge discussion here about rowids a few weeks ago. You
may be able to search one of the archives for something like that
topic. Basically, rowid refers to the physical location of the row
on disk. Since, in a fragmented table, the row may move from one
fragment to another, the rowid is no longer a valid identifier.
You may make up your own rowid column and work around this change.
There is a brief note in the Informix book: "Upgrading to Informix-
OnLine Dynamic Server Training Manual", version 01-95, part number
502-5-227-1-999999-3 on page 16-386. There is no index reference
in that book, or in the Migration Guide or Feature Enhancements
manuals either. (I'll write the doc people about that one.)
