Assert Failed in informix.log

We are running Online 7.10.UC1 on RX/6000 under AIX 3.2.5.0 and are getting the following types of assert failed messages in our informix log: Assert Failed: WARNING! pthdrpage:ptalloc:bad partn page Who: Session(116, smithr@cscmupa.csc.wo.blm.gov,37879, 17) Thread(137, oncheck, 3003b458, 1) Results: Cannot use TBLSpace page for TBLSpace 4194309 Action: Run 'oncheck -pt 4194309' See Also: /tmp/af.b2a65f6 The Sys Admin Guide is rather vague, indicating only some sort of consistency problem. The application being run is creating around 8 temporary tables and then running several stored procedures to fill up the temporary tables with data, then dumping the data to a permanent table, and finally dropping the temps. Can anyone give more insight into what is causing this consistency warning? We don't have a clue as to what's going on. The application seems to complete with all the expected data put into the permanent table. DBSPACETEMP has been set to 2 DBSPACES, one allocated for temp tables and the other a contingency overflow. Run-time monitoring with onstat -d -r 2 seems to indicate the temporary dbspace is not evenapproaching fullness. Thanks for any insight into this. Carol Davies Computer Sciences Corp.
