IDS 7.3x on HPUX 10.2 Should stored procedures be recompiled on a periodic basis? We have a case where a procedure was taking 10 minutes , we then created the same procedure w/ a new name and it took 5 seconds. The tables involved do have records inserted/updated at a high frequency and are reindexed by our DBAs once a month. I am wondering if we should drop all procs and recreate them after this reindexing process. TIA for any help
Are your stored procedures being re-optimized through update statistics?
