logical log backup and shmat error

Hi,
I have a IDS-7.30.UC4 on 10.20 HPUX machine.
This server was running for several days, using
ontape -c to backup the logical logs to a file. This morning, ontape -c is now aborting with a
shmat [22]: operating system error.
errno 22 corresponds to EINTVAL which suggests
that there is a programmatic error in the call
to shmat(). Rebooting the system and the server
has not cleared the problem.
IDS is stopped because all logical logs, sans one,
are full and not backed up.
Has anyone seen this before?

Let's get the obvious question out of the way: Did you kill and restart
the ontape -c since bouncing the engine? Errno 22 is "Invalid argument
to a system call" about the only argument to a shmat() that can be bad and
still have let ontape EVER work would be if the shared memory ID it is
trying to attach to is no longer valid which would happen only if the
Informix engine crashed or was brought down while ontape -c was still
running.

Run an ontape -a and force all logs to be backed up.
