Re: Connect to ODS 7.30 via 7.22 Clients

I just talked to tech support about this yesterday. You should not have to recompile your client apps. especially if they are windows clients, or clients that are not running on the server. If they are running on the server it depends if you compiled the libraries statically or dynamically. If you compiled the libraries into your application then there is no need to recompile, but if you use shared libraries you may run into trouble when you upgrade the ODS to 7.3 Scott Volker Fraenkle wrote in message <3552AB84.AD9FC089@cs-controlling.de>... >Hello everyone, >is it possible to connect a client software (build with ESQL/C >ESQL/COBOL 7.22 or 7.23) to INFORMIX ODS 7.30? > >We are working on HP UX 10.10/10.20 and IBM AIX 3.2.5. >Thank you, for your information. > >Yours, Volker > >-- >Volker Fraenkle E-Mail: VFraenkle@cs-controlling.de >CS Controlling Phone: +49 7144 8144-0 >Software Systeme GmbH Fax: +49 7144 8144-10 >Riedbachstrasse 5 >74385 Pleidelsheim
