Sometimes, an error message is so clear, it's not apparent (chew on that
one). AnywayGo to your system32 directory (or just system directory, if
windows 95) in the windows directory. Go to directory called drivers,
then directory called etc. Look for a file called services. The file has
lines like these
-------
# Copyright (c) 1993-1995 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This file contains port numbers for well-known services as defined by
# RFC 1060 (Assigned Numbers).
#
# Format:
#
# <service name> <port number>/<protocol> [aliases...] [#<comment>]
#
# this is not the entire services file.. I truncated it somewhat for
this posting...

srv_agent 1530/tcp # INFORMIX-OnLine Server
Agent
Notice that turbo (which is defined in setnet32, or setnet) under the
"Server Information" tab as the service name has port number 1526,
protocol tcp.Your service name may be srv_agent or whatever the DBA
chooses it to be. Whatever, usually the service name is given port 1526.
You also need sqlexec as 1525, protocol tcp. (this is whatever the
protocol you set up in either setnet32 or setnet). To find out, see what
the protocolname is under the "Server information" tab. Have fun guy!!.
