Jon, if you want to access a remote database table with the <database@server:"owner".tablename> syntax, the logging mode on both databases must be the same (even buffered vs. unbuffered logging won't work). I've stumbled across this problem numerous times, and always felt very annoyed by it. There must be a good reason for this, so I guess we just have to take it like it is.
