Who know an ODBC that works from Microsoft ASP (on NT_Server) against INFORMIX 7.30
Hi! In one server we have Microsoft NT SERVER(Service Pack 6.0A (the last service pack)) with IIS 4.0. In the other server we have Digital Unix 4.0E with Informix Workgroup Edition version 7.30 FC7. In the NT Server we've installed the Informix Connect software that install the Informix 2.80 32-Bit Version 2.80.08.61 odbc driver, and the ODBC Driver Manager Version 3.51 We've configured with the setnet32 utility the environment and the sqlhost file ; and we've connected to the stores7 database on the informix server with the ilogin demo utility. We've obtained data from Microsoft Excel(Microsoft Query) and Microsoft Access without problems. But when we try connect with ASP give us the following error: "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 126 (INFORMIX 2.80 32-BIT INFORMIX). /web/registro/AlmacenReg.asp, line 63 " We've tried with MERANT 3.60 32-Bit INFORMIX Version 3.60.00.00, and the error is the same. Has somebody an ODBC driver that access from ASP to INFORMIX without problems!!!!!!!! Thank You very much!

To use the Merant driver you must have the Informix client software installed on the same machine with the driver. For the Merant 3.6 driver you must have the 2.x SDK client software from informix. 2. The path to the client software and the must be set in the autoexec.bat file on win9x. For winnt it must be in the system variable path in the contral panal under the environment tab. 3. The third cause is that the wrong driver is installed. If you will search for the file IVINF15.dll, if you don't have this file then the informix driver is not installed. On the driver installation there is a change button to select the correct driver. Hello, It will not help if you try to change a driver. The problem is pretty simple - your IIS works under local system account of WinNT, and this account knows nothing about Informix settings. We had the similar problem and I've just copied an Informix branch of registry form the 'Current user' (where I have it installed and tested) to 'Default user' branch. The driver's fine ... it's your NT config that's screwed. ASP will be attempting to load the driver as the user running the IIS service ... which is probabl localsystem. This user doesn't have the Informix environment configured, does it. Change the startup of the IIS service to a user that you know has the right Informix config, and it should start working.
