Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Original post below sig.
You can use onmonitor/diagnostics to set an
alarmprogram that is called in the event of an
incident. Mine is a shell script that filters out
lowlevel events and mails me on the rest. The chunk
will also come up as 'down' on an onstat -d. I Check
mine manually but a script could quite easily check
this for you and mail you in the event of a problem.

Hey all
Informix 7.1, SCO Unix
With Informix mirroring, if a chunk fails it's mirror
will kick in seamlessly.
How is the system notified of this event? Will it be
a cryptic message in online.log?, will the console be
informed?
Any help greatly appreciated.
