Hi
I need help. I'm having a problem connecting to a server which uses shared
memory for communication. The following error mesaage is returned
"25588: The appl process cannot connect to Dynamic server phoenix.
Interrupted system call"
The sqlhosts file has the following entry
INFORMIXSERVER Protocol Hostname Service Name
============== ======== ======== ============
phoenix onipcshm apollo phoenix.shm
phoenix_tcp onipcshm apollo sqlexec.1
The entry in the onconfig file is
DBSERVERNAME phoenix
DBSERVERALIASES phoenix_tcp
NETTYPE ipcshm,2,100,CPU
NETTYPE soctcp,1,100,NET
At the same time the system load is very high with the oninit process taking
up the highest load.
I would appreciate any help available.
Thanks & Regards

You have two shared memory connections defined here. The phoenix_tcp
connection is also defined as "onipcshm". This should be onsoctcp to be a
valid network connection. This may be causing your problem. If this is a
typo when you created the mail, then disregard this.
