Hi,
I have an old informix 5.0 system installed that I use for a small
database. I use a cooked unix file for the database. Works fine.
I archive it to a unix file using 'tbtape -s' and the archive is done fine
into /usr/tapedev(LTAPEDEV) file.
My database disk went bad. I replaced it. Now I am trying to restore the data.
Here is what I am doing:
$tbinit -i //The informix comes up fine with new cooked dbspace
$tbmode -ky //bring informix offline
$tbtape -r
And I get:
Rootpath = /dev/online_root.ah.file,Offset = 0 K, Size = 50000 K. Mismatch
in configuration file.
But my informix installation area is untouched, so the config. file is
as it was before.
Here is relevant config. lines I am using:
ROOTNAME rootdbs # Root dbspace name
ROOTPATH /dev/online_root.ah.file
ROOTOFFSET 0 # Offset of root dbspace into device (Kbytes)
ROOTSIZE 50000 # Size of root dbspace (Kbytes)
TAPEDEV /tmp/tapedev # Archive tape device pathname
TAPEBLK 20 # Archive tape block size (Kbytes)
TAPESIZE 60000 # Max amount of data to put on tape (Kbytes)
LTAPEDEV /dev/null # Logical log tape device pathname
LTAPEBLK 20 # Logical log tape block size (Kbytes)
LTAPESIZE 60000 # Max amount of data to put on log tape
Any pointers ? Pls also CC me in your reply.
Thanks
AH
