Core dump in EXEC SQL DECLARE xx_cur CURSOR FOR xid

We compiled our application in Informix 9.2 on HPUX 11. Everything was working. We compiled the same code in Informix 7.31. Now we get core dumps in different executable and all of them are in "EXEC SQL DECLARE ..." code. The stack from the core file indicates BUS ERROR in 0xc52560d8 in sqli_curs_locate () from /user/online731/lib/esql/libifsql.sl This core dump happens after 4 or 5 executions. Some more information on this... I had the executables made with Informix 7.3.1 and used them to run with Informix 9.2 Server and Shared libraries. It works fine. I think the problem is in the shared libraries of 7.3.1 ?? In the 7.31 instance, did you install SDK/ESQL before IDS or after? If before then the message files and some of the libraries will be the wrong versions. Always install newer versions (ie ESQL/9.21) after older ones (ie IDS 7.31). BTW you could just install the same ESQL for both engines so you only need one set of executables for both. Art S.
