The first "officer" is responsible for setting up and administering the audit masks when auditing is used. The second "officer" is responsible for administering database privileges. Having these separate id's allows for separating these duties from the regular DBA duties that are normally administered through the 'informix' id. Don't know the impact of deleting the id's, but I suspect that it's none. Suggest you check out the "Trusted Facility" manual, though.
