RE: Ontape won't change logging
Hi Michael,
Try to set your LTAPEDEV parameter to /dev/null , and after
bringing Informix Online again, try to run your command line
ontape -s -U mbs -L 0
This will work and change the logging mode of your database,
it is a bug from Informix.

Hi
I am running Informix Dynamic Server 7.23 UC1 on a IBM RS/6000 with
AIS 4.1.4
I load a database named "mbs" without logging.
After this, i want to change the logging to unbuffered logging
with the command:
ontape -s -L 0 -U mbs
but it doesn't work - i get following message:
Archive failed - Invalid logging change to mbs
Program over.
Who can help me?
