You don't need to reset the number. Logs have two numbers associated with
them (as obtained from the output of the onstat -l command):
- number, which is the physical number assigned when the log was created.
So most likely your logs would have numbers from 1 to 200 (if you've
dropped
or moved logs in the past, then the range may be different, since the
engine
doesn't re-use these physical numbers).
- uniqid, which is a number assigned as the log is written to. The logs are
written
to in round-robin fashion, so over its lifetime any given log could have
more than
one uniqid.
