Hello, We're thinking about running ER between 2 machines at each of 2 sites. We'd only update on one server at a time -- the other 3 servers are backups only. I've got some questions on ER: a) There seems to be very few postings on the subject to this group. Does that mean that it's not widely deployed? I'm looking for some anecdotal evidence that it's deployed and well regarded. b) Any idea what bandwidth use we should expect? For example, if we fill up a 100Mb logical log every hour on the primary machine, how much network traffic would we see going to each of the replicates? c) Any other "gottcha's" that I should know about. Thanks in advance. ER issues have been raised in the news group in the past. Like most news groups, the things that tend to be discussed are the 'current' issues/hot topics/ and such. I really should leave anecdotal comments for other folks. > > > b) Any idea what bandwidth use we should expect? Easy answer.- about 5-10% more than 100Mb per hour per node. > > > c) Any other "gottcha's" that I should know about.
