Ok, informix reports space in pages thus the 250k. I would guess you have a
4k pagesize. You can check this in the symaster database by looking at the
values in sysshmvals table.
Your physical disk has been sliced up at the OS level to give you the 9
logical drives that you see. The offsets are being handled at this level.
As far as you are concerned, each logical device is a drive. From your
onstat -d output it would seem that using a zero offset is ok, so go with
it.
